Abstract

On behalf of the Editorial Board members, I heartily congratulate the Information Technology section of Nigerian Library Association on the maiden edition of its journal “Information Technology and Librarianship”. This journal is a dream come true recognising the burning desire of the Founding Executive of the Section to ensure a documented outlet which will serve as a reference to the evolving technology deployment in the field of librarianship. Hence the issues is positioned to provide a very good background for the focus of the Journal –Technology and its application in the field of librarianship cutting across deployment, operations, services and other related indices with their impact in the society . It contains well researched and written articles on diverse topics relating to the aforementioned.
